This pickle really packs a punch! It’s a very traditional recipe, balancing savoury garlic, sweet coconut and intense chilli heat.
We find this pickle is best served alongside a full meal, as it's fiery enough that a little goes a long way!
Instructions: Heat 1 tsp of sunflower oil in a pan, add 20g of sliced garlic and saute for 2 minutes. Add sachet no.1 (coconut) and mix well, remove from heat and allow to cool. In a blender add the garlic, salt and coconut with sachet no.2 (chilli powder) blend till smooth. Store mix in and air tight jar or container in a fridge for up to 2 months.
Ingredients: Desiccated coconut, chilli powder
Shelf life & storage: Spice sachet will last up to 6 months when stored in a cool, dark place.
