Makhani Curry Pack

Serves: 4 – 6 Vegan Vegan

Inspired by North Indian flavours, our recipe combines smoky and aromatic spices against a rich and creamy sauce; a dish of pure indulgence! A Rafi's alternative to a Butter Chicken.

The word "Makhani" translates to butter and often refers to a style of curry specifically found in the Punjab region of India. The addition of butter is essential to the overall texture and flavour of this dish, creating a silky and sumptuous sauce that's sure to impress.

We recommend serving it alongside a fresh, zingy salad such as our Red Cabbage Slaw or Carrot Salad to contrast with the luxuriant texture of the curry.

Try it with: Chicken or paneer

  1. Empty the pack into a pan and gently toast the spices for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Stir in 400ml of water and 500g of passata. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add 1kg of ingredients of your choice, mix well, cover and gently simmer until cooked.
  4. Stir in 50g of butter.
  5. Add salt, to taste, and drizzle with double cream before serving.
