  • 400g Tin of Chopped Tomatoes

  • Saag Gosht Masala *

  • 600g Sweet Potato, peeled and diced

  • 400g Boiled Chick Peas, drained *

  • 300g Spinach Leaves

Description:

Hearty vegetable combination for the saag gosht.

Instructions:

Make up the saag gosht sauce as normal, then add the sweet potato and simmer for 5 minutes or till partly cooked. Finally, add the chick peas and spinach and simmer for a further 5 minutes. Serve with rice or naan.

    We tried this recipe with vegetarian friends a few weeks ago.... we all loved it. Now, some three weeks weeks on we have just finished the rest of it from the freezer.
    It can standalone with just rice, or to accompany other dishes as a side vegetable, but be prepared for your guests (including non vege types) to want second helpings of this one!
