Rafi Fernandez
Rafi came to England in 1965 and pretty much had to learn to cook from scratch. During this time she has travelled to most parts of the world developing her knowledge of food and cooking techniques. Almost 30 years later she is an accomplished author of cookery books and teacher of Asian cooking.
Rafi's love of cooking and food is infectious and it has been at the centre of the family, so it was no surprise that her two sons have joined the business to add their own skills and passion for cooking.
“My main aim is to ensure we teach our customers about India. It is as much about our culture as it is our food. I am extremely proud of my Indian heritage and nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing other people get enjoyment from our culture.”
