Drumstick (moringa)
By lfernandez @ 23:20 :: 154 Views :: 0 Comments ::

A Drumstick (moringa) tree is very beautiful and mostly grown in the back yard of most Indian homes. The fruit, flowers and leaves are edible although only the fruit is sold in markets. The fruit is long and is cooked in India as a vegetable dish or combined with lentils. To eat, you have to chew to release the pods and juices but discard the outer husk as it is very fibrous.
