Mango powder (Amchur)

Amchur is almost exclusivley used in Indian cooking where it is used as an acid flavouring in curries. soups and marinades, having the same tenderizing qualities as lemon juice. It is excellent for chicken kebabs and also on fish when grilling.
Amchur powder is finely ground with a slightly fibrous texture. It is beige in colour and has  a has a sweet sour smell.
